The IT Solutions division provides services across a large portfolio of cutting edge Business Systems and Enterprise applications including SharePoint, VLE and Cloud technologies. The initial focus of this position will be to provide training around the SITS student system with the opportunity to expand your experience across a broader range of applications.

Job Purpose

As a key member of the IT Solutions team you will be instrumental in promoting a continuous improvement based culture, through interacting with end users and gaining an understanding of current systems, processes and addressing gaps between system usage and business procedures.

Working alongside the Team Leader, Service Delivery you will proactively take a lead in challenging the performance and use of current systems in order to enable the provision of a comprehensive, professional and tailored IT Application Training service for both academic and administrative staff.

Job Responsibilities
As IT Application Trainer you will be responsible for a range of training services including producing/updating training manuals and guides to support the successful delivery of training courses and skill transfer sessions.

As part of the service delivery team you will be involved with a number of business analysis and application support activities to provide you with real world understanding of current issues and to enable you identify future training needs for the organisation.

Experience
You will have experience of at least two of the following skill sets:
hands on knowledge of SITS components (admission and enrolment, student data analysis, exam and assessment proven experience of designing and developing a range of training materials including user, process and training manuals exposure to business analysis, including understanding requirements, process analysis and mapping. Additional Skills and Experience A high level honours degree or equivalent qualification ideally in a computing/IT related area Knowledge of Business Systems ideally within a higher education environment Proven experience of engaging with a broad range of stakeholders to negotiate on requirements, timescales and deliver complex messages Experience of designing computer based training Experience of student life cycle support and services SQL or related database query languages Communication As an IT Applications Trainer you will be a self motivated and dynamic individual who is able to challenge and influence others, develop and maintain collaborative working relations across IT and non IT departments High level, proven inter-personal and communications skills and have the ability to recognise and pass on knowledge to others As an employer of choice Kings College offers an extensive benefits package
